"Planned on Purpose with Purpose, Your Life Matters!"

eRASING tRAUMA

Dear clients,

So often I get asked the question, "will counseling take away the trauma" followed by "will I feel the way I did before it happened?"

The short answer to this is no. No amount of talk therapy can undo what happened or make you feel the way you did before the traumatic event occurred.

You see, counseling is not there to erase the trauma, but to help you rewrite what happened. It is there to help you to process the event in a healthy way and to provide you with the tools and resources you need to cope. You may not go back to the way you were before, however, you can become a stronger version of yourself.

A survivor mindset requires you to acknowledge that the trauma forever changed you, whilst at the same time making the conscious choice not to let it define you.
- Madeleine

You are a survivor and you are capable of so much more than what you ever dreamed of.

Counseling is about helping you to realize that your value and worth does not change after trauma. Your dreams and hopes does not have to end with trauma.

Change after trauma does not have to be negative and you can become whole again.

Hold on to hope - things will get better again.

Be blessed,

Madeleine
